once bitten twice shy.

got bitten once and you will be more protective, more caution of the things ard so that you wont fall into the trap again.

so what will happen if somehow you lost control and got bitten twice?
will you be even more protective, more cautious abt the things you do and try very hard not to fall into the hole again? Or will you just give up cause even by being more protective, you may be bitten for the third time again?

I have been bitten twice.
